Abstract

BLDC motors were operated in many industrial environments, especially flammable industry. Besides, it possessed higher efficiency than induction motors, and smaller dimensions than a conventional direct current motors. Moreover, the absence of brush allowed its treatment became easy and showed almost no noise.Fuzzy logic was used as one of the motor speed controlling methods. The design of fuzzy controllers was done by simulating the output speed based on fuzzy controlling reference in order to obtain optimal control results. Several types of defuzzification used were COA / centroid, bisector, MOM, LOM, and SOM. Transient and calculation methods were used to analyze the ISE design optimization of control. The result showed that defuzzification method was able to follow the speed setting that was provided by COA method.The testing on changes of the speed setting from 1000 rpm to 2000 rpm showed the response characteristics of conventional PID control system with an average value of the rise time (tr) 0.29 second, steady time (ts) 0.9 second, overshoot 8.63%, and the percentage of ISE 98.19%. While results generated on fuzzy control system were average value of rise time (tr) 0.25 second, steady time (ts) 0.27 second, overshoot 0.15% and the percentage of ISE 99.36%. The fuzzy control system which was implemented to set the BLDC motor could improve the performance of conventional PID.

Abstract

The future technology of the technology of wireless communication system must be able to serve a multimedia application, included voice, data, and high speed video information. CDMA is one of the communication technology which can be used and have been proved as a technique of multiple access that capable of provide this service requirement. In this system the multicell is analyzed until two tier and the system of multiclass is divided into three classes of traffic which are class 1 for voice, class 2 for data, and class 3 for video services. The analysis of capacity is done according to the effect of variable quality of services, chip rate, bit rate and activity factor. The result show that higker chip rates can maintain the required BER of each information and achieve the user capacity in high traffic condition. However, larger bit rate will decrease total capacity. Furthermore larger activity factor will decrease total capacity of system. So the effect of interference in multi cell system can decrease home cell capacity of offered information traffics.

Abstract

This paper discusses the design tool to model non-pharmacological treatment of stroke patients based on multimedia. Definition of stroke according to the World Health Organization (WHO) is a clinical sign of either focal or global form of brain dysfunction that develops quickly, with symptoms lasting 24 hours or longer and can lead to death, with no apparent cause other than vascular. Therapeutic exercises strengthening muscle strength in case of a decrease in muscle strength in this study is part of a post-stroke rehabilitation. The design model of this tool is expected to help the families of stroke patients to perform self-therapy. Stroke patients who will be treated in this study is limited to disorders with decreased muscle strength. This multimedia-based designs used to simplify the user to see a visual example with multimedia. The result of this study is an example of exercise in form of animation.

Abstract

Damage to engine part from unit of heavy equipment that often happens will interfere the activity of production because the unit of heavy equipment automatically will experience improvement. With the anticipation of anti-friction bearing demage will reduce the repair of any units of heavy equipment caused by damage to the anti-friction bearing. The purpose of creation of this tool is to help examine and analyze the damage often occurs on anti-friction bearing in unit of heavy equipment. Method of making a tool anti-friction bearing damage analysisis, on unit of heavy equipment with operating conditions approachh happens i.e. aspect of the workload and working temperature. Simulationas media tool anti-friction bearing damage can be done. The result of manufacture of tool breakage analysis of anti-friction bearing this could make it easier to know the working conditions and the variable load and speed rounds so the data parameter causes damage taken (annihilation due to the influence of vibration and haeat which occurs). Components anti-friction bearing damage analysis tool i.e. dinamo 3 phase 1500rpm, inventer, coupling flens Æ6’, shaft Æ70mmx600mm, pillow bearing Æ70mm, Housing bearing and punch, inner pack capacity 10ton, ball bearing, frame.

Abstract

Control system on the recycle process of markers ink aims to control charging ink on the recycle process of whiteboard markers ink. The process of opening the lid will automatically proceed with the charging process of whiteboard ink. The objectives of this tool are to control the time of ink charging using the solenoid. Solenoid control using the minimum system of microcontroller. The hardware consists of a circuit of microcontroller of ATmega16, driver of solenoid valve using L298 IC, push button, power supply and mechanics for opening and closing markers. It is expected this system can help the process of ink recharging automatically on the whiteboard markers. The performances of lever cap on the recycle process of markers ink show proper performance. The system can fill ink to the markers accordance with the planning. The volume of the markers ink with capacities of up to 25% with the ink discharge of 0,003 liters / second. The system has an average of percentage error of less than 2% of the measured voltage.

Abstract

Cloud computing is one of latest innovation in the development of Internet-based computing technology. Cloud computing uses virtualization concepts that can be accessed via Internet, so can reduce the cost of Information Technology (IT) and facilitate IT service management. Service provided is multi-tenant so computing resources can be used together and adjusted to user needs (elasticity). Software as a Service (SaaS) is cloud computing services frequenly used. Security is a major problem in the development of cloud computing technology. Guarantee of security and privacy user data, it will raise trust of users to vendor.The study aims to analyze the factors can be effected trust of cloud computing user based on Software as a Service (SaaS). Samples that used are users who have been using cloud computing services based on Software as a Service (SaaS) more than three months. Instrument used is questionnaire and measured by scale Likert. There were 50 respondent in this study. The data analysis method used is Partial Least Square. Results of the study found that factors significantly affect user trust are ability, security and privacy of vendor.

Abstract

Nowadays, Reliability-centered Maintenance (RCM) has become the solution to determine the type of maintenance tasks and inspections needs to be performed to the assets in achieving effective and efficient maintenance. However, implementing RCM is not enough to achieve optimization of maintenance planning. The evaluation, as one of the important point should be done to prove the benefits of RCM and to continuously improve the maintenance planning. In this study, the effects of RCM implementation in the industry application were evaluated, as a step for continuous improvement in RCM application. The case study is an Ammonia plant in a fertilizer company in Indonesia. This research evaluates the RCM effects by investigating and analyzing Downtime Loss and Mean Time between Failures (MTBF). The problems in RCM implementation in the case study also investigate as a basic for giving the recommendation to the company as a way to improve the RCM implementation. In general, the findings from the investigation of case study affirm that RCM implementation do improve the plant performance which are showed by decreasing of Downtime Loss and Mean Time between Failures. The significant problems that become pitfalls in RCM implementation process are about the worker’s culture and understanding on the RCM process. Overall, the study shows that RCM implementation brings many benefits to the company by decreasing the Downtime Loss and Mean Time between Failures which can be resulted as the higher profit for the company.

Abstract

Mine drainage was problem in mining aktivity at activ periode and mine closure. And will be enviroment issue from mine drainage is water quality, what is Pontentially Acid Forming or Non Acid Forming. For to know water quality will be forming, as the firts step is understanding about stone geochemical characteristic. Stone of behavior can be knew base on geochemical characteristic by step testing are static test with testing sulfure total, pH paste, pH NAG, ABA methode and verification with kinetic test by Free Draining Column Leach Test with physic and chemical testing, also mineralogy testing with X-RD for to know mineral composition in stone. Base on characteristic result can be get stone type potentially acid forming/ PAF and non acid forming/NAF. Then water quality test as leachate stone PAF/NAF by kinetic quality test. From this research, result of type the stone are PAF and NAF, where PAF is high capacity with NAPP value 88,64 kg H2SO4/ton and pH NAG 2,42 with kinetic test result showen pH 2,18 in acid zone. And for NAF with NAPP value -0,78 kg H2SO4/ton and pH NAG 6,81 with kinetic test result showen pH 7,53 in netral zone.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Construction hauling road at the swampy area is very difficult due to weak materials and soft material for the basement. The problem can be determinate with approaching density of material during to reach optimum compaction. To determination optimum compaction can be use wet and dry density method and optimum water content. Laboratory testing at the laboratory is conducted on 95% of compaction include moisture content (ASTM D 2216-80), Specific Gravity (ASTM D 854-23), Attenberg Limit (ASTM D 422-63), Liquid Limit (ASTM D 427), compaction (ASTM D 1557). Field testing is required to compare actual value of basic properties of material and laboratory test and also to get correlation number of compaction with thick of layering material. The result of the study is increasing dry density will be give impact reducing void ratio and porosity. Highest density values have been found at the laterite material (coarse) with density number up to 2.18gr/cm3 during wet condition and during dry condition 1.98 gr/cm3. Highest number of wet density fine material about 2.12gr/cm3 and 1.87gr/cm3 for dry density. Lowest number of density for coarse material about 1.82gr/cm3 (wet) and 1.46gr/cm3 (dry) while for fine material about 1.83gr/cm3 (wet) and 1.55gr/cm3. Construction hauling road at the soft material can be conducted using selective material and keep optimum water content and applying compaction layer by layer to reach optimum compaction.
